Nigerian footballer Victor Udoh has died at the age of 21, with former clubs Southampton FC and Royal Antwerp FC paying emotional tributes to the late winger.

Udoh spent six months with Southampton’s academy after joining the club in February 2025, making eight appearances for the Saints’ Under-21 side in Premier League 2.

Before moving to England, the talented left-winger came through Royal Antwerp’s academy in Belgium, where he scored 12 goals in 27 appearances for the club’s “Young Reds” team before going on to feature 28 times for the first team.

After leaving Southampton in September, Udoh joined Czech second-tier club SK Dynamo České Budějovice.The club described the news as “devastating,” stating that the thoughts of everyone at the club are with Udoh’s loved ones during the painful time.

Royal Antwerp also expressed deep sorrow over his passing, extending condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones while wishing them strength and comfort.
