The African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPHP) is set to induct some healthcare professionals in the west African nation of Sierra Leone, in the month of April, 2025, in Freetown, the country’s capital.
Registrar of the Institute, Dr. Ayodele Bankole James said the induction will also serve as an opportunity to inaugurate the Sierra Leone chapter of the Institute.
The event themed Building A Resilient Healthcare for UHC and Health Security in Sierra Leone: Progress, Challenges and the Way Forward, is expected to attract key African healthcare professionals, including one of the guest speakers, Dr. Ishata Conteh, international healthcare organisations and the Health Minister of Sierra Leone, as one of the inductees.
Bertha Uwakwe, Director, Membership Services of the Institute described the last edition held in November, 2024 in Accra, Ghana, as successful. It brought together experts from the public health space, the nursing council, Ministry of Health and professionals from different non-governmental organisations.
The African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPHP) is a continental body of healthcare professionals across Africa countries, including Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Egypt, Libya, amongst others.
