Nigerian technology entrepreneur and diaspora leader, Olubukola Moyo Babajide, has been awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by His Majesty King Charles III in recognition of her contributions to technology, business development, and inclusion.
Babajide, founder of Crystal Options Ltd. and Female Techpreneur, was named among recipients of the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours, earning widespread commendation from Nigerians at home and abroad.
Reacting to the development, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the honour as a proud moment for Nigeria and the global Nigerian community.
She said Babajide’s recognition reflects the growing impact of Nigerians in the diaspora who continue to excel in their professions and contribute significantly to the development of their host countries.
Dabiri-Erewa noted that Babajide’s work in advancing technology, supporting entrepreneurship, and promoting inclusion has earned her international respect and distinction.
According to her, the award serves as further evidence of the positive contributions Nigerians are making across various sectors around the world.
The NiDCOM Chairman also praised Babajide for inspiring young people, particularly women, to pursue careers in technology and entrepreneurship, while breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others.
She expressed optimism that the recognition would encourage more Nigerians in the diaspora to remain committed to excellence and continue projecting a positive image of the country globally.
Babajide’s MBE honour adds to the growing list of Nigerians receiving international recognition for their achievements and contributions to society.
