HDAN noted that under his leadership, the housing sector witnessed renewed energy, particularly in the push for affordable housing and the expansion of access through creative financing models. The group added that his administration strengthened engagement with private developers and development partners, leading to improved coordination across the sector.

The organization also highlighted the increased attention given to low-income earners and informal sector workers, describing it as a significant shift toward more inclusive housing policies.

“His tenure has left a solid foundation for the growth and transformation of the housing sector. The progress recorded reflects a leadership that understood both the urgency and complexity of Nigeria’s housing challenges”, the statement said.

HDAN further commended the minister for fostering a collaborative governance environment that encouraged dialogue among key stakeholders, including government agencies, financiers, and civil society groups.

While applauding the achievements, the Network urged for continuity, calling on stakeholders to build on existing reforms by improving access to housing finance, reducing construction costs, and accelerating mass housing delivery.
